First District Conference 2010 Host Chapter Delta Chi has opened up registration for District Conference 2010. Undergraduates REGISTER here (UNDERGRADUATES ONLY). All others REGISTER here. Registration costs for GRADUATES is now 135.00. Registration costs for undergraduates and graduates increases after 3/20/2010 so register early.

***NEW*** Important Application and Guideline Documents Available

UPDATED 1/15/2010: Brothers Johnson and Fils-Aime have released the following files for the Charles Drew Scholarship and Talent Hunt guidelines for immediate distribution. There are two Charles Drew Scholarship files, one for the application and a guidelines document for the scholarship. Also available: 2010 DeNorris D. Crosby Junior Scholar Scholarship application (High School Seniors) which is available here. All three files are available in this zipfile . See Brother Kevin Walton (@ kwalton@aces.org) for additional information.

Simiarly, there are two documents from IHQ regarding guidelines for Talent Hunt competitions. The guidelines document can be accessed here and the Leadership Conference presentation can be accessed here. Please be aware that this latter file is extremely large (17MB). Message from The District Representative

Greetings men of Omega and friends of our beloved fraternity.

Welcome to the formidable First District web-site. This communication tool serves as a link to all the chapters that comprise the district from the six New England states.

As the district representative, let me first thank “God, our Supreme Basileus of the universe” and you my good brothers for this high privilege and honor to represent our district throughout the world of Omega. The formidable First District is home to our fraternity’s third oldest chapter, Gamma, chartered in 1916 by one of our honorable founders, Brother Edger Amos Love.

The four cardinal principles of our beloved fraternity: manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift serve as our guiding light as men of Omega and as for the communities in which we raise our families and work.

Brothers, as we strive to live out our fraternity’s motto of: “friendship is essential to the soul”, please remember to share the works of the First District with our webmaster Brother Mark Arnold at lotusebhat@gmail.com. Thank you my brothers and long live the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

Leadership Conference 2009 Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas, NV July 23-25, 2009

The bi-annual Leadership Conference was held in Las Vegas on July 23-25, 2009. Under the direction of Bro. Carl Blunt, the 12th District and District Representative, Bro. Charles Peevy, a great conference was had by all. A fuller report on the conference is forthcoming.
